Two-Day Advanced Myofunctional Orthodontics

OVERVIEW

Participants will be guided through advanced treatment while utilizing the Myobrace^® appliances individually and in conjunction with other treatment modalities. They will learn to use the various apps available for download to maximize identification of symptoms that should be addressed during the course of treatment. Participants will practice basic treatment planning and understand the importance of laying the proper foundation of identification of breathing disorders, myofunctional disorders and sleeping disorders in your patients. Our curated staff will guide you in transitioning your practice and integrating the system to ensure your patients are diagnosed early, treated effectively, and have a stable, healthier future after completing the program. Hands-on BWS training may be available.

Dr Barry Raphael
DMD

Le Dr Raphael est orthodontiste et fondateur du Raphael Center for Integrative Orthodontics à Clifton, dans le New Jersey. Son intérêt pour l'orthodontie "globale" a commencé par sa rencontre avec Chris Farrell et le système Myobrace^® en 2008. Aujourd'hui, le Dr Raphael propose un large éventail de techniques intégratives conçues pour aider les enfants à grandir de la meilleure façon possible et pour aider les adultes à arriver à un état de bien-être au-delà du soulagement des symptômes. Il enseigne ces concepts à l'école de médecine Mt. Sinai à New York, au Raphael Center for Integrative Education, au niveau national et international. Le Dr Raphael travaille en étroite collaboration avec l'American Dental Association (ADA) et l'American Association of Orthodontists (AAO) pour faire évoluer la pratique de l'art dentaire au XXIème siècle.

Kelly De Miro
RDH, BS, OMT, IBCLC

Mme Kelly Baker a débuté sa carrière en tant qu'assistante dentaire dès le lycée, puis est devenue hygiéniste dentaire agréée. Elle a poursuivi sa formation dans le domaine dentaire en enrichissant ses connaissances des applications cliniques des techniques et en obtenant sa certification en anesthésie locale en 2008. En octobre de la même année, elle a suivi un cours de l'IAOM pour devenir thérapeute myofonctionnelle. Après avoir passé 19 ans à exercer en tant que RDH et OMT, elle a accepté le rôle de éducatrice américaine en chef au sein d'MRC, où elle a pu exprimer sa passion et sa conviction dans la thérapie myofonctionnelle.
