OVERVIEW
This MRC seminar will teach you the myofunctional evaluation system for identifying breathing and myofunctional problems limiting facial growth and causing malocclusion, as well as the ability to treat the myofunctional problems evident in almost every child and adult.
COURSE TOPICS
- Functional anatomy and physiology related to breathing and orofacial muscles
- Identification of the underlying causes of malocclusion & SRBD
- Diagnosis and treatment of breathing disorder
- Integrating Myofunctional Activities into the Dental practice
- Presentation of treatment options using MRC’s treatment systems: Myobrace® Trainer System, Myotalea®
- Treatment planning and case discussions

Dr Barry Raphael
DMD
Dr Raphael is an orthodontist and founder of the Raphael Center for Integrative Orthodontics in Clifton, New Jersey. His focus on 'big picture' orthodontics started with his introduction to Chris Farrell and The Myobrace® System in 2008. Now, Dr Raphael offers a wide range of integrative techniques designed to help children grow in the best possible way and to help adults find wellness, not just symptomatic relief. He teaches these concepts at the Mt. Sinai School of Medicine in New York City, at the Raphael Center for Integrative Education, nationally and internationally. Dr Raphael is working closely with the American Dental Association (ADA) and the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO) to move the practice of dentistry forward in the 21st century.
Dr Leslie Pasco
DMD, OFM, CBBI
With 30 years of clinical experience as a dentist, Dr. Pasco applies myofunctional therapy as a core component of healthy jaw and airway development. She the creator of unique, integrative programs combining form, function, and fuel to help children develop properly. A practice owner and management consultant for over two decades, she has been a professional speaker on practice management and clinical topics. Dr. Pasco is the creator of the Pediatric Airway Society (www.pediatricairwaysociety.org), established to connect, educate, and empower professionals in comprehensive airway care. She is also the author of “The Great Contraction”.
