2011 MRC Lecture Series: Course Outline

Through attending one of Myofunctional Research Co.’s (MRC) courses, you will experience MRC-founder Dr. Farrell's myofunctional theory and learn about his appliances that are being used in over 100 countries. You'll discover how he approaches soft tissue dysfunction and learn about the profitable solution he offers to improve your practice.

This course was requested by numerous Dentists and Orthodontists, and outlines a more clinical approach to myofunctional diagnosis and treatment. The course will equip you with the knowledge of how to achieve better patient acceptance and compliance, and better profitability through more effective patient and parent education.

Attending this course will give you a new and profitable technique to apply to every treatment case of a child with a malocclusion.

There is currently a rapidly growing parent demand for non-extraction orthodontics. The parental concerns over relapse after treatment with braces and the use of permanent retainers has led to increased interest in both the MYOBRACE® and BWS™ as viable, non-extraction, non-fixed-bracket options for many children. It is also important for Doctors to understand that myofunctional treatment is not solely directed at the dental structures, but also at the soft tissues.
